The Bearing Sea Walrus tour is one of the most unique experiences you will ever have. The plane departs from the resort early in the morning on its way to the gathering place of the walruses, Cape Cinnavin. Once you reach the coast, you are likely to see whales surfacing off shore and brown bears feasting on the washed up walrus carcasses. Once at the cape, you are able to view the walruses from a safe distance. Often times, during the return flight, antique Japanese fishing floats can be found washed up on shore, as well as walrus carcasses. If weather permits, the pilot is able to land the plane on the beach for an up close look at these objects.
