Lake Clark National Park Tours

Explore glaciers, volcanos, mountains, lakes, forests, tundra, and wildlife!

Lake Clark National Park spans over 4 million acres and is not accessible by road. Because of that, it is the 3rd least visited national park. Being located in Port Alsworth, Alaska, Lake Clark Resort offers unparalleled access to explore Lake Clark National Park by foot, boat, and small plane.

Lake Clark Resort is within walking distance of the visitor center and headquarters for Lake Clark National Park, as well as hiking trails that take you to Tanalian falls, Lake Kontrashibuna, and Tanalian Mountain.

If you are looking to explore Lake Clark itself, we offer guided boat tours for sightseeing, photography, fishing or a combination of all of the above. Wildlife, such as bears and moose can be seen along the shoreline of Lake Clark, as well as eagles and a variety of waterfowl. There are scenic beaches and trails that if the conditions allow are gorgeous to explore. The fishing that Lake Clark allows is something you will want to experience. In Lake Clark, we catch Arctic Grayling, Lake Trout, Arctic Char, Northern Pike, and in the fall, Sockeye Salmon and Rainbow trout.

Since Lake Clark National Park is so large and has such a diverse landscape that ranges from volcanoes, mountains, glacial lakes, glaciers, forests, tundra, grasslands, and coastline, the best way to see the park is by float plane or small bush plane. The float planes allow our guests to flight see around Redoubt and Iliamna Volcano, and various glaciers while stopping in lakes all throughout the park. Our Bush planes allow the same flight seeing opportunities in addition to allow our guests to land on the Cook Inlet Coast to view the coastal brown bears digging for clams and eating swamp grass.
